It all started with a driver's license in a dorm cafeteria. A legendary figure known as "Dan the Man" noticed
the letters B-E-N-N-O spelled out on a small Texas-Issued identification card. With a fit of uncontrolled
laughter containing surprisingly sharp wit, the man said, "Your middle name is Beano?"
And so the holder of the card has been known as Beano ever since.
Many of the early pictures show Boomo doing the exact same things Beano did. Growing mustaches, lifting weights, jumping over fires, climbing trees, and the like.
All Boomo wanted to do was copy Beano in everything he did, and that was more than enough.
Boomo always wore a smile, just like Beano did. These were such simple, happy times. Boomo wanted them to continue forever, but unfortunately, it was not to be.
After only a dozen pictures or so, Boomo and Beano parted ways.
When graduation came, causing both Boomo and Beano to move, Boomo became lost in a state of confusion.
He couldn't cope with the recent changes he was experiencing because he missed the good old days.
He tried to recapture their glory by dressing like Elvis, but it just wasn't the same.
He felt trapped, and didn't know what to do, so he did all he could to survive, living on the faith that his work would one day lead him to happy times again.
Eventually Boomo decided it was time to change his attitude, let go of the past that he couldn't keep, and plunge headfirst into something he hadn't tried before.
He fought his way into pictures with the most popular people he could find. Mrs. Piggy, Macho Man Randy Savage, Jerry Lewis, and even the cast of Star Wars.
This became his new mission, and he finally started having fun again. Soon he was in more pictures than he could keep track of, and each experience became more and more wonderful.
But all of this excitement still wasn't enough for Boomo. He got tired of playing it safe and decided it was time to push the boundaries.
His pictures became more and more unusual, with somewhat darker tones. And the volume of pictures he was in greatly decreased, as he spent much time hiding out and searching for deeply unconventional inspiration.
Boomo's era of experimentation is now leading him more towards the modernist arts, particularly the art of surrealism. Perhaps this will be the year that everything about him is going to change.
